Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has shown his huge influence once again, this time on YouTube.
The superstar broke a new record by getting 10 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, UR Cristiano, just a day after launching it on August 21st.
By the time this report was written, Ronaldo’s channel had already reached 15.6 million subscribers.
He broke the previous record held by Hamster Kombat, which took seven days to reach 10 million subscribers.
Ronaldo’s channel gained over 1 million subscribers in the first 90 minutes and then passed 6 million within just six hours.
The channel’s success is largely due to its engaging content, including a teaser trailer, a quiz game with his partner Georgina Rodriguez, and a video of Ronaldo meeting his wax figure at Madame Tussauds.
Ronaldo thanked his fans, whom he called ‘SIUUUbscribers’—a playful nod to his famous ‘Siu’ celebration. He also showed his ‘Gold Play Button’ from YouTube, an award for reaching 1 million subscribers, to his children.
This success on YouTube adds to Ronaldo’s already massive social media presence, with 112.5 million followers on X, 170 million on Facebook, and an incredible 636 million on Instagram. His posts on these platforms helped drive the quick growth of his YouTube channel.
